Refried beans with just a little oil are better than using lard. Now you can also make them without oil and only use the liquid from the beans.

The secret flavor is to add your homemade sofrito. Sofrito is a combination of sauteing onion, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, carrots, and spices such as chili, paprika, salt, and garlic powder.
